Erie County’s second HHW Collection Event will be held on July 13, 2024 in Depew, NY.

Join us for this FREE event where you can safely dispose of your Household Hazardous Waste, Paint and Batteries!

Site address is 315 Borden Rd, Depew, NY 14043. In your GPS, please enter Rutherford Place, 200 Rutherford Pl, Depew, NY 14043 and this will take you to the right entrance.

To ensure low wait times, this is an appointment-only drive thru event. Appointments are limited and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To participate, registration is required. When you register for a time slot using this site, you will need to enter the first 3 characters of your vehicle’s license plate. The first 3 characters of your license plate is your appointment number. If you are not sure which vehicle you will be using, you may enter more than one plate number.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS WHICH CAN BE BROUGHT INCLUDE:

  1. Pesticides, Fertilizers, Pool and Household Chemicals/Cleaners
  2. Oil-based paints, Spray cans
  3. Paint Thinner, Stains, Varnishes, Stripper, Sealants, and Solvents
  4. Gasoline, Kerosene, Antifreeze
  5. Mercury (thermometers, thermostats, liquid)
  6. Fire Extinguishers
  7. Propane camping size 1 lb. cylinders
  8. Latex Paint
  9. Household Batteries

 

NOT ACCEPTABLE ITEMS INCLUDE:

  1. Automobile tires
  2. Car batteries
  3. Propane tanks (20lb)
  4. Computers and other electronics
  5. Appliances
  6. Pharmaceuticals
  7. Smoke detectors
  8. Fluorescent light bulbs
  9. Commercial/industrial wastes
  10. Oxygen and other compressed gas tanks

Participants will need to be able to verify that their waste products were generated by households.
