Comprehensive Plan Update

This survey will help the Village of Lancaster and Village of Depew update their Comprehensive Plan which will present a vision for the future, set goals, and recommend strategies for village activities that affect the entire community.

What is a comprehensive plan?
A comprehensive plan is a policy document that identifies the goals, objectives, and policies for the immediate and long-range protection, enhancement, growth, and development of a municipality.

Comprehensive plans tend to include information on the following topics:
• Land use & development
• Municipal services & infrastructure
• Economic Development
• Housing & Neighborhoods
• Environment & recreation
• Community identity & character

A comprehensive plan outlines a municipality’s goals related to these different topic areas and includes recommended actions to achieve these goals.

We are working to update the Villages’ 2018 Joint Comprehensive Plan.
