We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Final Climate Resilience Plan Report. This comprehensive document represents a pivotal step in our ongoing efforts to address and mitigate the impacts of climate change within our community.
The purpose of the Village of Lancaster Climate Resilience Plan is to identify strategies to reduce the risk of potential impacts of climate hazards over the long term and build capacity to adapt to on-going changes. This document builds from existing planning documents and projects the Village of Lancaster has developed in recent years. The Plan presents the most pressing climate hazards the Village is likely to experience, along with an assessment of local vulnerabilities, and ends by presenting seven recommended strategies for continuing progress toward building climate resilience in the Village of Lancaster.
This document provides a starting point for an ongoing process to promote climate resilience in the Village of Lancaster. The plan and its recommended strategies are intended to inform the Village’s future planning processes, including the Comprehensive Plan update, where the strategies included here can be refined and moved toward implementation.
We extend our gratitude to all who contributed to the development of the Final Climate Resilience Plan Report. Your collaboration and support have been invaluable.
