New York State 19 NYCRR Part 1203 requires fire safety and property maintenance inspections of all buildings which contain an area of public assembly, all multiple dwellings, and all nonresidential occupancies. The interval between inspections of buildings containing an area of public assembly cannot exceed one year and the interval between inspections of multiple dwellings and nonresidential occupancies cannot exceed three years.
