NOTICE OF TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS AS TO TWO PROPOSED LOCAL LAWS
TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 28, 2026
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: That the Village of Lancaster Board of Trustees will conduct two public hearings as to two proposed local laws in the Council Chambers of the Lancaster Municipal Building, 5423 Broadway, Lancaster, New York on Monday, September 28, 2026.
The first public hearing as to a proposed local law will immediately follow a public hearing scheduled for 7:15 P.M. regarding the use of Federal Community Development Funds in the Village of Lancaster.
The first public hearing as to a proposed local law is to consider a local law which would update and revise Village Code Chapter 263 “Sewers” and Village Code Chapter 139 “Excavations” to particularize means for the authorization and inspection of and financial security for excavations performed upon streets and other public grounds within the Village of Lancaster.
The second public hearing as to a proposed local law will immediately follow the first and is to consider a local law which would amend Section 350-61 of Chapter 350 Article VII “Board of Appeals” of the Lancaster Village Code to provide for the appointment of designated alternates to the Village Zoning Board of Appeals and
expand beyond the limited circumstances set forth at New York Village Law §7-712 (11) when a designated alternate of the Village of Lancaster Zoning Board of Appeals may serve for a member when such member is unable to participate.

At said hearings, all persons so desiring shall have the opportunity to be heard.
