                  SPECIFICATIONS FOR MUNICIPAL BUILDING FLOORING REPLACEMENT

                    NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids will be received by the Lancaster Village Board until 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, at the Village Clerk’s Office located in the Municipal Building, 5423 Broadway, Lancaster, New York, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud for the replacement of flooring in the Village of Lancaster Municipal Building.

Specifications and bidding sheets are on file at the office of the Department of Public Works, 5200 Broadway, Lancaster, New York, 14086, where they may be picked up during regular business hours, between 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. This notice shall be considered as part of the specifications.

Each proposal must be accompanied by cash, a certified check payable to the Village of Lancaster, or a bid bond having as security thereon a surety company acceptable to the Village Attorney, in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250) conditioned that, if the proposal is accepted, the bidder will enter into a contract for the same, and will execute any such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract.  Deposits made by unsuccessful bidders will be returned after a contract has been awarded.

No bid will be considered unless the attached Non-Collusive Bidding Certification has been signed by the bidder.

No bidder may withdraw a submitted bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof, but bid may be withdrawn at any time prior to the scheduled time for opening of the bids.

The Village of Lancaster reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or minor deviations from the specifications, or to make an award to other than the low bidder if it appears to be in the best interests of the Village to do so.

The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer and comply with the

New York State Prevailing Wages Law.

Bids shall be submitted intact on the bidding forms available for that purpose, and shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes plainly marked Lancaster Municipal Flooring Replacement and addressed to:
