Please take notice that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Lancaster, New York will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 5423 Broadway, Lancaster, New York, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 7:15 p.m.
The purpose of this hearing is to consider the request from petitioner and property owner, Jamie DeWald of 20 Franklin St. in the Village of Lancaster, NY. The petitioner is seeking relief from the following Village Code with respect to rear yard requirements:
Section 350-30: Rear Yard Requirements
Minimum rear yard requirements shall be as follows:
(1) In any R District, equal to 25% of the lot depth, but shall not be less than 25 feet or a distance equal to the height of the principal building, whichever is greater.
A rear yard setback relief of 21’-3” was granted on November 7, 2024. As built, the survey location shows a setback of 21’-03/4”. The petitioner is seeking relief from the Village Code for an additional 2 ½”.
At said hearing, all persons so desiring shall have the opportunity to be heard.
